The Killarney Park Hotel : Refurb & Extension

Project overview

Flesk Electrical delivered the full electrical installation for the refurbishment and extension of The Killarney Park Hotel, working alongside MDO Architects and Malone Group.

The scope included electrical containment, main and sub:distribution, lighting and emergency lighting, extensive lighting controls, general services and small power, ICT and data, fire detection and alarm, lightning protection, power and control for mechanical services and EV charging infrastructure.

The project covered a large mix of room types — classic and deluxe bedrooms, balcony rooms, signature and garden suites — as well as corridors and lobby areas. Guest room management, DALI lighting control, CAT6 data, new comms cabinets, fire alarm, CCTV and security systems were all supplied, installed and commissioned by Flesk, with full testing and certification in line with I.S.10101 and hotel operator standards.

Common questions about our electrical project delivery

Yes. A large amount of our work is delivered in live schools, hospitals, offices and venues. We programme night works, phased isolations and clear hand-back of clean areas each day.

We typically deliver LV distribution, lighting and emergency lighting alongside controls, metering, BMS interfaces, fire alarm and security systems as a coordinated package.

Full testing & verification, RECI certification, emergency lighting and fire alarm records, as-built drawings, asset registers and digital O&M manuals to suit the project.

Yes, we allow for spare capacity and accessible containment so future additions (extra circuits, EV chargers, AV or ICT) can be installed with minimal disruption.
