Doneraile Court (OPW)

Project overview

Flesk Electrical delivered a sympathetic electrical upgrade and partial rewiring at Doneraile Court, a protected heritage property managed by the Office of Public Works.

The works focused on renewing ageing wiring, upgrading distribution boards and integrating modern LED lighting, emergency lighting and life:safety services while preserving the building’s historic fabric. Careful routing of containment and cabling, reuse of existing paths where possible and close coordination with conservation stakeholders ensured that visual impact was kept to an absolute minimum.

All installation, testing and certification were completed in line with current wiring rules and OPW standards, with phased programming to keep the house available for tours and events wherever possible.

Full testing & verification, RECI certification, emergency lighting and fire alarm records, as-built drawings, asset registers and digital O&M manuals to suit the project.

Yes, we allow for spare capacity and accessible containment so future additions (extra circuits, EV chargers, AV or ICT) can be installed with minimal disruption.
