Project overview

Flesk Electrical delivered a full LED lighting and controls upgrade at the Department of Social Protection offices in Godfrey Place, Tralee.

Working in a live building occupied by staff and members of the public, Flesk coordinated decanting of work areas, out:of:hours works and phasing to minimise disruption. The existing fittings were replaced with LED luminaires, and a DALI control system with PIR and photocell sensors was installed to optimise energy use.

Emergency lighting was upgraded to a self:testing DALI system with central indication, and lighting levels were measured before and after the works for inclusion in the O&M manual. Regular coordination meetings, toolbox talks and a clean:as:you:go approach ensured a safe, tidy site and full compliance with OPW standards and I.S.10101.
